Director’s Notes:

Clear Creek Community Theatre’s original adaptation of A Christmas Carol,  faithfully based on the Charles Dickens novel that has become a cherished part of holiday traditions worldwide. Today, as much as ever, the play continues to resonate as a poignant reminder of the true meaning of Christmas and the universal themes of generosity, redemption, and the capacity for personal growth.

The familiar story follows the transformation of the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge. On Christmas Eve, Scrooge is visited by the ghost of his former business partner Jacob Marley, now bound by chains of greed, and the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come. These spectral encounters prompt Scrooge to reassess his life choices and the impact they have on others. The play’s enduring appeal lies in its powerful exploration of the spirit of Christmas, delivering a poignant message about the potential for positive change and the importance of human connection.
