Auditions – OZ

CCCT announces auditions for our spring production of The Wizard of Oz, written by L. Frank Baum, music and lyrics by Harold Arlen and E. Y. Harburg, with additional background music by Herbert Stothart. We are doing the RSC Version. The creative team consists of Kathleen Richardson, Director; Cindy Perkins, Music Director; and Kaleigh Huxley, Assistant Director.

The creative team seeks a diverse company of actors of all ages. Actors, singers and dancers of all experience levels are needed! All roles are open. A complete list of characters is provided when you fill out our online Audition Form – click here for Audition Form.
In addition to the principals, we are seeking:

CHILDREN’S CHORUS:
The little people of Munchkinland. Long oppressed, and happy to be freed, the Munchkins will (mostly) be played by children. Group singing and coordinated movement required. Dance experience a plus. There are some featured roles among the munchkins, such as The Coroner, The Lollipop Guild, and The Lullaby League. Children may possibly be used as Flying Monkeys and/or Ozians.

THE OZ ENSEMBLE: 12-15 versatile dancers/singers/character actors who will step into iconic featured parts and fun, fantastical roles. There are roles within the ensemble for strong singers, strong dancers, and strong comic actors, but no one person needs to have all the skills!

FOR ALL, focus on acting/connecting/expression! Perform for us like you’re performing in your living room for your cat/dog/hamster/etc. Perfection not expected! We welcome singers/actors/dancers of all skill and experience levels! This is a show that truly has something for everyone!
